Hi all.
This is just my curiocity but i think it would be good if we get replies from people who know more about web design.
So is it possible for somebody to create self voicing websites?
We already have got the example of soundaround www.soundaround.org and the audio network www.pressakey.net but these websites use recorded pronpts and the users can make options by using the numerick keyboard.
But i was wondering is it possible to make websites speak with the sapi5 voice?
Another self voicing website was www.speegle.com but it had some problems.
Anyway look forward to see what other people think.

nope. The only ways I've heard of doing it are the ones you mentioned.

Sory, I gave a wrong web address. www.speegle.co.uk
This website is simmilar to google but when you search for something a voice reads the results. But it doesn't always work. There are two voices available male and female.

It can be possible. However your visitor would have to have the latest version of flash and java enabled. Especially if you only want the voice over to do it once. Understand the website I went to might no longer be in service as this was back in 2000. But you sign up for a account, copy your text, spell check it in word (for any possible errors) and then paste it into the page you want spoken on this particular website. You then get some kind of code where you insert it into your website. Problem is - the owners monitor what you do. For instance the owner saw I was replaying the page mumerious times to locate errors or make the page sound right and he emailed me.

After that I shut the program down off my site's main page.
EDT: I just went on the website that hosted the Text to Speech engine - it's no longer there.

My only advice is to google it.

Interesting. I think that with the amount of blind people that use the computer, most of them would have a screenreader, there for self voicing websites are not needed.
